Wild Horses in Old Town Albuquerque at Schelu Gallery

Albuquerque Open Space 2007 Free Summer Series


Summer family fun is waiting for you at the Elena Gallegos Picnic Area Ampitheater every Saturday at sunset.  Speakers,  teachers, and performers present on topics including local ghosts, ancient weapons, rattle snakes, drumming, owls and bats, astronomy, story telling, and sketching.  Presentations begin at 7:00 PM.

Albuquerque Weekly Outdoor Concerts all Summer


Albuquerque has a wonderful summer tradition of outdoor concerts at the Rio Grande Zoo on Friday nights and the Aquarium on Thursday nights.  Bring a blanket and a picnic basket, and prepare to enjoy.  The zoo exhibits stay open through the first half of the concert, allowing glimpses of animals aren't usually out in the heat of the day.

Albuquerque Has A Beach


Albuquerque has a beach. That's right our very own beach. Tingley Beach is located at 1800 Tingley Drive SW. You can get there by taking the Rail Runner and it is close to the Albuquerque Aquarium, the Rio Grande Botanic Garden and the Rio Grande Zoo. Tingley Beach has three fishing lakes and a model boating pond. So, visit Albuquerque and ride the Rail Runner to enjoy the beach.
