Reno's Best Breakfast (Part II)

Some of you may remember that in Part I of "Reno's Best Breakfast" I confessed to never having actually eaten at my number five selection, The Stonehouse Cafe.  Well let me tell you...that, my friends, is no longer the case.  In fact, since that shameful confession, I have been there twice, and upon my second visit, enjoyed what just may be the singular most delectable bite of food I've ever tasted.

The first time I went, I'll be honest, I had been out extremely late the night before and was in dire need of coffee and carbohydrates.  I ordered the Stonehouse Fresh Garden Omelette ($10), and although the potatoes served on the side could have been a bit crispier, I left happy.  NOW (drum roll please)...let me tell you about the Banana Rum French Toast ($10).  I ordered this my second time there, and I swear it was life changing.  Three huge pieces of Ciabatta bread (apparently Jack in the Box is onto something) smothered in rum, pecans, butter and bananas and topped with really light, fluffy whipped cream.  Breakfast?  More like dessert.  But who doesn't like a little sweetness in the morning?

Ah, do we detect a little bias toward eateries located in a certain part of town?
The Stonehouse does have a great presence, and after hearing about the French Toast and Omelette, I think I'll have to give it a try....
