Reno Tonight!
This one's a quickie, which sometimes, is just what the doctor ordered.
Tonight: At the Green Room, Sly Buford is going to take the stage along with CazRoc sometime around 10ish. We all know shows never start when they're supposed to; just be there sometime after the sun sets but before your mom calls to ask what channel CSI is on again. (Oh, like that never happens to you). I've done some research on these guys via their Myspace pages, and from the sounds of it, you can expect a good time. Sly Buford even wrote this on his page: "NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THESE POSITIONS: Fly Girls, B-Boys, Fluffers, and Groupies. Leave a brief description and photo in inbox." If he's talking about Fly Girls ala In Living Color, the audition line starts behind me.
Also tonight: At Tonic, a fundraising event for "Keep'n It Reno," an independent adventure television show from Renoite Jon Epsteyn. There will be DJ's all night, dancing and drinks, all for a worthy cause. Speaking of worthy causes...
Apparently, Liquid Lounge is still open. Although news to me, it happens to be karaoke night tonight. 148 West Street. Bring your best Irene Cara impression. (Oh, like you don't remember Flashdance either).
