Ski.. . Quick!
Maybe the resorts shouldn't have even opened this season. I looove to ski and have been skiing since I could walk. I have skied all over the US & Canada and although the Tahoe resorts aren't necessarily the best terrain, nothing beats only having to drive 30 minutes to the mountain. Plus, you have your choice of 15 ski areas! Furthermore, if you have lived in Reno for any amount of time, chances are you know someone who works at one of the ski areas who might be able to hook you up. . . at least with a beer or a ski bunny. Anyway, back to my point, this season has been LAME. I've had one decent "cherry pow" day which I had to cut work to enjoy. Oh well. I'm going to practice my snow dance all summer and next season its on!
In the last few weeks of this sad season, the resorts usually have some fun (funny) events such as pond skimming, ladies day, sled competitions, bikini/shorts skiing, etc. See you there!
