Snow Festival!
That's right its the annual North Lake Tahoe Snow Festival! Take a break from the buffets, or grab some of that money you won on the craps table and head up to North Lake Tahoe.
The festival is a 10 day celebration of fun, families and snow! It was started in 1981 with the goal of helping promote Tahoe's incredible weather and skiing, support and increase local tourism, and showcase the magnificent Lake Tahoe area.
So come make this incredible 26th year one to remember at Snow Festival! There's plenty to do from the Mardi Gras Party tonite at 4:30 pm or the Battle of the Bands on March 7th. Don't miss the Brooms, Boards and Boots triathalon at 2pm on the 8th. There's a Sushi and Wasabe eating contest, a big Pancake breakfast, plays for children, Kings Beach winter parade, snow sculpture contest and plenty of snowball fights!
That's just a taste of what there is to do at the festival. Don't forget plenty of food and drinks, and a weather forecast from heaven. The festival runs until the 11th of March and its about a 40 minute drive from Reno. Check out www.TheWeeklyMagazineOnline.com for more info.
