Reno has welcomed many new shops in the last few years, but nothing compares to the long-awaited Summit Sierra Shopping Center located south of town at the intersection of US 395 and Mt. Rose Highway. The Summit, consisting of more than 60 establishments, offers a wide selection of shopping and restaurants in this beautiful outdoor mall. Featured stores include Dillard’s, New York & Company, Ann Taylor Loft, Orvis, J. Jill, Banana Republic, Chico’s, Cache, Cold Water Creek, White House/Black Market, J. Crew, Lucky Brand Jeans, Pottery Barn, M-A-C, Williams-Sonoma, Ria Shoes and Ecco, and Abercrombie & Fitch. Many people in Reno will be able to give up some of their California shopping trips now because you can find nearly everything in Reno. Nearly. We are still waiting for Nordstrom’s, IKEA, Saks, etc.

Since the grand opening last spring, a few restaurants have gratefully opened their doors. Hungry shoppers can choose among Charley’s Grilled Subs, BJ’s Brewhouse, Buffalo Wild Wings, Johnny Carino’s, and Cortina. Of course, there is also a Starbucks (there must be law – no construction unless Starbucks wants in) or one can enjoy something from Keva Juice or Nestle Toll House Café.
Don't leave Reno without checking out our new digs.
