Stay in Reno When You Ski Tahoe
Lake Tahoe and most Sierra ski resorts are only an hour or so away from downtown Reno. While the Lake receives enough snow to make ski resorts and skiiers giddy, usually Reno receives far less snow, which makes travel to the resorts much easier. There are also several shuttle services that provide transportation to most major resorts. That's why plenty of skiiers stay in Reno and "commute" to their favorite ski resort. Hotel rates are usually a little more reasonable in Reno, and many hotel/resorts offer ski and stay packages that are extremely reasonable. So, stay in Reno, you can still enjoy the slopes, and party the night away in style!
