The Peppermill in Reno
The Peppermill Casino and Resort is one of America's 10 Best Casinos according to MSN, and there's a reason for that. Their restaurants are top-notch, with early-bird specials in many, the rooms are clean and recently updated, and there are many amenities, like a health club, convention space, free entertainment, and plenty of loose gaming action. Because the Peppermill has always catered to locals, it's also a bit friendlier than some other casinos. I recommend the Romanza and White Orchid for fine dining, and the coffee shop for great specials and comfort good. The Peppermill is located a few minutes from downtown Reno, but it's closer to shopping and ski areas by a few minutes, too.
The Peppermill is adding on another expansion, with both casino space and hotel space, convention space, and a parking gallery. A new restaurant will open inside the new hotel tower, as well. The rooms will all be suites, and while some of the expansion is already complete, most will not be done until the Fall of 2007.
