This restaurant is at the top end of affordable. In fact I'm not really sure if I should include it here or under a different heading.
Himalayan Cuisine is a small, clean, and nicely decorated restaurant in a strip mall on Flamingo Road. One word of warning, you can only access this strip from westbound Flamingo or south bound Swenson. I'm convinced that this is the reason that this wonderful little restaurant is always not busy when I go there.
They have a wonderful lunch buffet for $9.95 plus tax. On the two days I went for lunch the buffet had three different desserts a little salad bar and 8 hot dishes. All the dishes were the perfect combination between spice and heat. (Don't come expecting Indian heat because this is a much milder cuisine)
For dinner their entrees start at $10 and go up to $19 for some of the seafood dishes. Everything I tried was tasty, well prepared, good portions and tastfully presented.
The cuisine here is similar to a milder Indian with its biryanis, makhanis, curries tandoori meats, and breads. A few of the dishes with Tibetan influences like chau chau and thukpa. This is definitely a good stop for those looking for something a little different to eat in Las Vegas.
