This wonderful Thai restaurant is just a few blocks of the north end of the strip. It is in a rather depressing strip mall, and area of town. But once you get past that and into this delightful little restaurant you will be pleasantly surprised.
At lunch time with the buffet table in the middle of the room Lotus of Siam only has about 10 tables so you probably will have a little wait. However it is well worth it, even if you chose just to do the buffet.
The lunch buffet is $7.99 per person, after tax it is about $8.60. For this you have a good selection of quality Thai food. The days I have gone there have been 2 noodle dishes, fried and steamed rice, three vegetable dishes, 2 soups, 2 entrees, garlic/pepper chicken wings, tempura vegetables, egg rolls, curry puffs and some assorted fruits and salad items.
The wait staff is friendly and attentive and very helpful if you choose to order off the menu. Because of the restaurant's small size I worried at first about bringing my children, but the wait staff quickly eased my fears making my entire family feel comfortable.
This is a must visit restaurant for authentic Thai food, served in a relaxing atmosphere.
The only downside to the restaurant is that there is a $20.00 minimum charge if you pay by credit or debit card.
