Chula Vista on Robert Street in West Saint Paul

The other day my family and I went for the second time in a month to Chula Vista Mexican Restaurant. (They have coupons, what can I say?!) Besides I love their food. I like their tradition, like many Mexican restaurants, of giving baskets of chips and bowls of salsa. Their chips are great and their salsa terrific. And, every meal the four of us had was yummy.

While we were there, we heard an announcement of a birthday and an invitation to sing "Happy Birthday" and looked over and saw a young woman with a giant sombrero having her picture taken while we all sang! As we left we saw that their was a gallery of pictures of other birthday celebraters in the big sombrero at the entrance.

I am going back for Cinco de Mayo next month cuz they are having all you can eat tacos! When you are headed south on Robert Street which turns into Highway 3 south of the city, you will pass Chula Vista Restaurant. Turn in for lunch or dinner, you will be glad you did!

Hey Ginny..If I ever make it to St. Paul I'll be sure to visit this restaurant. Thanks muchly, I'm now having severe cravings for Mexican food & it's only 8:30 a.m! You don't suppose I could order take-out do you?

If you are into Mexican food, then you must come to St. Paul and visit the westside.

Check out my blog to find three or four other great Mexican restaurants on the westside and in Frogtown!
