Teen Bands Get Opportunity For Regional Exposure - Sign Up Now!
Muskegon is having it's own - "Muskegon Idol" competition so to speak. This is a fantastic opportunity for teen bands to get exposure while helping to raise money for the Webster House - a safe haven for homeless youth. Visit www.websterhouseyouthservices.org to download an entry form. The deadline is 1/24 and band members must be under 18 to compete.
The competition will take place on February 3 in downtown Muskegon in front of Racquets. The top 3 bands will have the opportunity to play at Muskegon Summer Celebration on the Regional Showcase Stage. Muskegon Summer Celebration is held in late June/early July each year, and is a 10 day music festival & party. In past years musical guests have included Earth, Wind & Fire, Chicago, REO Speedwagon and James Brown. People come from all over Michigan and outlining areas for 10 days of fun, fun, fun. It is estimated that over 600,000 people attend Summer Celebration. Thus, this will be a fantastic opportunity for some really lucky teens! Be sure to spread the word!
