The first home game for the new Muskegon arena football team, the Muskegon Thunder, will be next Friday, April 13 at 7:30 p.m. The team will play Summit County at the L.C. The Muskegon Fury have made it to the play-offs and hope to reclaim their title by becoming the 2007 Colonial Cup Champions. Home playoff games are scheduled for Wednesday, April 11th and Saturday, April 14th. Both games will be held at the L.C. Walker Arena (of course) and will begin at 7:30 p.m.

If you're in Muskegon for St. Patrick's day, you can experience three floors of "Irish" fun. The event, sponsored by Mercy General Health Partners, will be held in the Hilt Building & Frauenthal Theater on Western Avenue in downtown Muskegon. Well, we are all (especially my husband and I) sorry that Muskegon's attempt at having a semi-professional basketball team (the Mayhem) failed only after 2 seasons. Nevertheless, we are hopeful that the new arena football will have great success in our community.
