Farmer's Markets Open for Spring


FarmerOh I just love spring.  One of my favorite things to do on Saturday's in the Spring is to visit the local farm markets.  At these markets I enjoy shopping for produce grown by local farmers, specialty items such as jams/jellies, homemade soaps and candles, and flowers/plants.  Here are a couple of my favorite markets in Muskegon.

Muskegon Amusement Park Named "Attraction of the Year"


Roller CoasterMichigan's Adventure, a Cedar Fair LP amusement park (they also own Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH) has been named "attraction of the year" by Travel Michigan and the Michigan Hotel, Motel & Resort Association.  The amusement park is just about 15 miles or so north of Muskegon in the Whitehall area, and is actually 2 parks in 1 - Michigan's Adventure Amusement Park ...

Miss Shoreline Scholarship Pageant

Winter Is Back in West Michigan?


   Cross-Country Skiing   Winter is back in West Michigan and so is winter fun.  Cross-country ski trails are now open at the Muskegon Winter Sports Complex out on Scenic Drive in North Muskegon.  The sports complex will open at 10 a.m. on weekdays, and 8 a.m. on weekends.  This week the ski trails will be open until 8 p.m.

No Snow - What's A Winter Sports Enthusiast to Do?


Normally we would have been out skiing, speed skating or luging this weekend, but with no snow, what are we to do?

Last Call for the Coopersville Christmas Train


Only one more chance left to ride the train with Santa this year.  Just 20 miles or so south of Muskegon, in the city of Coopersville you can hop a train ride with Santa.  The Santa Train departs at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. & 3 p.m. Ticket prices are $12 for adults, $10 for kids and rides are free for children under the age of 2.
