Oh I just love spring. One of my favorite things to do on Saturday's in the Spring is to visit the local farm markets. At these markets I enjoy shopping for produce grown by local farmers, specialty items such as jams/jellies, homemade soaps and candles, and flowers/plants. Winter is back in West Michigan and so is winter fun. Cross-country ski trails are now open at the Muskegon Winter Sports Complex out on Scenic Drive in North Muskegon. The sports complex will open at 10 a.m. on weekdays, and 8 a.m. on weekends. This week the ski trails will be open until 8 p.m.

Only one more chance left to ride the train with Santa this year. Just 20 miles or so south of Muskegon, in the city of Coopersville you can hop a train ride with Santa. The Santa Train departs at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. & 3 p.m. Ticket prices are $12 for adults, $10 for kids and rides are free for children under the age of 2.
