Winter Is Back in West Michigan?
Winter is back in West Michigan and so is winter fun. Cross-country ski trails are now open at the Muskegon Winter Sports Complex out on Scenic Drive in North Muskegon. The sports complex will open at 10 a.m. on weekdays, and 8 a.m. on weekends. This week the ski trails will be open until 8 p.m.
Also, icing is in progress, thus the luge run should be opening soon - hopefully this weekend. If you are an adventurist or extreme sports enthusiast, you have to come over to Muskegon and hit the luge run. In fact, the run was used for training by Olympic Medal Winner Mark Grimmette. If you don't remember luging from the winter olympics, click here for video footage - http://www.msports.org/luge.htm#general. Just think of lying on a board on your back and flying down a steep, icy hill. The guys absolutely love it!
