This Frigid Weather Is Not Fit For Man Nor Beast

Hazardous weather conditions continue throughout most of West Michigan including the Grand Rapids area. The Blizzard of 2007 started on Friday night and continued throughout the weekend dropping near to and in some places just over a foot of snow. Frigid temperatures and blowing snow kept everyone in the house, some watching the movies they'd rented in preparation for the storm, and others with a good book and a cup of hot chocolate. High winds and wind chills of -10 to -21 shut down the mall and movie theaters on Saturday, and caused the cancellation of many church services on Sunday.
Today is not much better. The snow continues and we are expecting to add a couple of inches to that foot of snow already on the ground. To top it off, it is cold with the low this morning being -7 and a high of 8 degrees. Thus, most schools have closed for the day including Grand Valley State University, Davenport University and Ferris State University (Grand Rapids campus).
Like I said, this weather is not fit for man nor beast. If you don't have to go out, stay in the house and keep warm.
