Boston Valentine Chocolate for your Sweetie

For that special Valentine's Day Celebration, Boston hotels, restaurants and even Trolley Tours have come up with some super indulgent chocolate menus and tasting events.

Among the best is the ever-popular Dessert Table at Aujourd'hui, the elegant dining room at the Five Diamond-rated Four Seasons Hotel overlooking the Public Garden on Boylston Street.

This upscale French-style restaurant with mahogany bar and drawing room grandeur has long featured the Dessert Table, which après theatre-goers have been flocking to for years.  Executive Pastry Chef Tim Fonseca, (who was assigned the delicious task of creating a birthday cake to beat all birthday cakes for Julia Child), has concocted some special offerings for Valentine's Day, certain to please.

Along with Aujourd'hui's signature selection of exquisite pastries, you may find: a Bittersweet Chocolate Truffle Bar, Bittersweet Chocolate Fondue, imaginative variations of other chocolates, and for the non-chocolate aficionado, Lemon Crème Brulee with Roasted Strawberries and Coconut Sorbet, and an Apple Tarte Tatin Bread Pudding with Crème Fraîche Ice Cream.

The award-winning dining menu features French cuisine prepared by Chef de Cuisine William Kovel and his classically trained team.

A spectacular brunch offers just about everything under the sun, including fresh seafood buffet, traditional breakfast fare, and dessert bar.

The Langham Hotel has another of Boston's best Chocolate Bars, Voted "Best Indulgence" by Boston Magazine.

The theme, "Chocolate Bar Three." (CB3) focuses on the three types of chocolate: white, milk and dark chocolate in a try-all-you-like buffet that includes a tempting assortment of chocolate mousses, specialty cakes, made-to-order chocolate crepes, homemade ice cream, fresh baked cookies, chocolate passion fruit tarts, miniature s’more cups, delicate truffles, homemade waffles with chocolate fondue and more.

The romantic and sumptuous Julien Room is ideal for a special go-all-out Valentine dinner, perfect in pink, with romantic flower-bedecked tables.
