Shopping in Boston

December 17, 2006
Shop 'til you drop People, it's that time of year! If you're like me, then you're never truly DONE shopping. There is always some type of event, be it a holiday, a birthday, an anniversary, a retirement party, a housewarming gift, the list is endless. The good news is that the locations to shop in Boston are (almost) endless as well. What's more, there is an adorable holly trolley that is FREE on Saturdays and Sundays in December from 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM. So jump on and get shopping, time's running out...........................
Let's start with Newbury street, which is not only scenic, but the stores are amazing. I'll be honest, this street is not exactly for the bargain basement shopper, but it is fun to window shop even if you are on a budget. From Cartier to Armani to Burberry to Hermes, the list of luxury stores goes on and on. There are also some fabulous boutiques where you can purchase one-of-a-kind items from local merchants. When you need a break from shopping, there are some great restaurants and cafes that line Newbury street as well. Bring your biggest pocketbook or wallet and have fun!

For the rest of us on a budget, Bolyston Street is just one block south of Newbury Street, and it has many of the retail stores that we all enjoy. Crate and Barrel, J Crew, Restoration Hardware, Talbots, Marshalls, and The Shops at Prudential are just some of the many top shopping spots that you'll find along this tree lined street. Of course, there are some great places to eat in between shopping excursions, so be sure to bring an appetite and enjoy!

COMING SOON! On the next Shopping Blog, historic Faneuil Hall Marketplace.
Cheers~
