G-Spa

Hi folks --- on the road again this week.  I (badly) needed a quick manicure yesterday and was fortunate to find a tiny nail salon near the hotel.  But it really reminded me of how lucky I am to have G-Spa in Boston!  (And no, I don't work for them or know anyone who does nor do I have any association with them other than as the occasional anonymous customer.)

Located on Newbury Street between Arlington and Berkeley streets, it's the perfect spot to hit when you have very limited time and either need a quick treatment for nails, skin, hair, or are in agony and need a massage in your shoulders or feet.  They take a unique approach to the spa-style salon set up in that they've specifically designed services that target people with limited time.   The main floor of the spa is the 'Quicky' section where you can get a manicure that takes less than 15 mintues, or 15 minute massages for head, neck, shoulders, arms and wrists, or reflexology for feet, or facials in under 30 mintues.  Perfect for when you're time pressed but in desperate need of help!  The facilities are clean, well organized, and usually fast paced and friendly.

They also offer a 'Splurge' section to the spa, which includes a full line of facials, etc.  There is a more stripped down version of traditional spa facilities in the Splurge section (located on an upper level), which seems to be directed more toward the 20 - 30 set than the parent spa, GrettaCole.  While I was satisfied with the treatment I received at the Splurge section when I went for indulgences, I'd recommend that if you want a complete spa experience, check out GrettaCole Spa in the lobby of the Westin at Copley.  (Great place and the Vitamin C facial has won awards --- and works semi miracles, in my experience.)
