Boston Seafood - Legal Sea Foods
Hello Bloggers, I hope that you're doing well. Today I would like to tell you about a staple in the New England area, SEAFOOD. Many of us in Boston are familiar with the east coast chain, Legal Sea Foods, but for those of you who aren't, you must come try it!
From its 1950 fish market origins in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Legal Sea Foods has grown to over 30 family-owned restaurants up and down the east coast. Their menu features appetizers that include fried calamari, shrimp cocktail, steamers, steamed mussels, oysters, and much more. There is a large soup, "chowdah" and salad menu that is wonderful, and the lunch and dinner choices include everything that you could possibly imagine. Legal Lobster, Surf and Turf, Double Stuffed Baked Shrimp, and wood grilled Sea Scallops are just a few of the many selections that will keep you coming back for more. Legal Sea Foods also has a kids menu and a Celiac menu, which addresses the needs of people with wheat and gluten intolerance. And of course, there are nice dessert selections for those of you with a sweet tooth.
An interesting twist on the restaurant is that Legal Sea Foods also has a thriving mail order business. You can order live or pre-cooked lobster, shrimp, filet, nearly anything that you could want for a wonderful seafood dinner. And if your cooking skills are anything like mine, it's much better if you let Legal Sea Foods prepare it ahead of time ~ yum!
The prices are reasonable, and the seafood is fabulous, so what are you waiting for? Check out the website below (where you can find out if cod is scrod, but is scrod always cod?) and select a Legal Sea Foods location to visit on your next trip to Boston. It's so good that it should be illegal!
