Save Trimper Rides!



If you live in Ocean City or vacation there, I'm sure you're familiar with Trimper Rides on the Boardwalk. After 117 years of operating in Ocean City, they are considering closing due to ridiculously high tax assessments and disagreements with shareholders. Their tax bill increased $387,000 last year and an additional $914,000 this year!

Ocean City has several options for visitors that prefer not to drive. The Boardwalk Tram provides service to the entire boardwalk. There is a depot at the Inlet and at 27th Street, but you can board or get off anywhere you choose. Easter Sunday Sunrise Service



Several pastors of Ocean City's local churches will participate in the annual Easter Sunday Sunrise Service at 6:00 am on Easter Sunday, April 8th.  The service is held at North Division Street and the Boardwalk.

In the event of severe weather conditions, the service will be held at the Holy Savior Catholic Church at 17th Street and Philadelphia Avenue.

Play It Safe Program - Free Activities for 2006 Graduates in Ocean City, Maryland



Play it Safe is a program for high school seniors celebrating their graduation in Ocean City, Maryland. The Ocean City Drug & Alcohol Abuse Prevention Committee is hosting FREE activities for seniors.   Windsurfing, kayaking relays, free pancakes, laser tag, rock climbing, paintball, karaoke and dancing, are just some of the free events planned by the Committee.

"Mr. Las Vegas" will be performing at Ocean City's Sunfest celebration on September 22, 2007. Sunfest celebrates the start of the Fall season in Ocean City, Maryland. The City Council approved a pilot plan for a permanent surfing beach from the jetty to almost halfway to the pier (South Division Street).
