Smitty McGee's in Fenwick Island
f you're looking for a non-smoking sports bar head to Smitty McGee's in Fenwick Island. They have 49 TV's! Twenty are high-definition 50 inch plasmas and 12 are 20 inch flat screens. They also have NTN trivia at the bar and on Tuesday night they have Team Trivia starting at 7 pm. We like to go for Happy Hour for their drink and food specials. (Every day of the week from 4 to 7 pm) My husband loves their Nuclear and Key West Wings (half-price during Happy Hour) and I like the 50 cents oysters and clams. They also have ½ pound of steamed shrimp for $6.95.
If you want something more filling, I recommend their Tenderloin Sandwich. It's a charcoal-grilled filet mignon topped with melted provolone cheese and sauteed onions with horseradish sauce on the side. Very tender and always good! We also like their Death Burgers. You can order a sixpack or a dozen of these baby burgers with American cheese served on potato rolls. Ask for “fixins' on the side” and you'll get chopped tomatoes, pickles and lettuce to add to the burgers.
Randy Lee Ashcraft plays guitar and sings every Thursday starting at 7 pm and is back again on Friday at 8 pm with The Saltwater Cowboys. On Saturday starting at 9 pm Chris Button performs.
Smitty's is family-friendly and very casual. They can be very busy on popular weekends and during the summer, so you may have to wait for a table. Go to their website to see their menu and daily specials.
