Indoor Ice Skating Rink - Carousel Hotel, Ocean City, MD

Need something to keep the kids busy in Ocean City during the winter, or rainy days in the summer? The Carousel Resort Hotel & Condominiums offers an indoor skating rink so you can stay toasty while the kids burn off some excess energy. The rink is open to the public, so even if you're not staying at the hotel, you can take advantage of this unique form of entertainment for Ocean City.

You can rent skates, or bring your own. They even have walkers for children learning to skate. (I wish they had walkers for adults!)

If someone in your crowd refuses to skate, send them to the game room. They'll find a pool table and video games to keep them entertained. When everyone gets hungry, grab a table at the Ice Cream & Candy Shop with a great view of the skating rink.

The Carousel is located at 118th Street and Coastal Highway. For information call: 410-524-1000 or click here to view their website.

During the winter season, the rink is open Monday through Thursday from 4pm-9pm, Fridays from 4pm to 10 pm, Saturday from 10 am to 10 pm and Sundays from 9 am to 9 pm. (On February 7, 2007, the rink will be closed after 7 pm for Special Olympics.)

Thanks for the great info on the skating rink. I like knowing there are tools to help my son learn. Now I just have to get brave enough to go with him!!!

Something to think about the next time we have a rainy or cold day at the beach for sure!!!

What a great idea for a "special" valentine. You can take your special someone for either a ice skating escapade complete with hot chocolate, or try a warm dip in the pool and pretend you've made an escape to a tropical island. I had no idea! This is one place worth checking out in the winter...
