Top Ten Places to Eat in Dorchester County Maryland



This list is based on my own personal experience.  I haven't been to every restaurant in Dorchester so I'm sure there are some fabulous dining spots not on my list.  But if you're visiting Dorchester County, I can assure you, that you won't be disappointed if you dine in any of these fine establishments.  They are quintessentially Dorchester!

  1. Jimmy and Sooks  - 421 Race Street, Cambridge, MD  410-225-4115  Open Tues. through Sunday from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm.  This Raw Bar and Grill has a casual style, superior service, friendly atmosphere and EXCELLENT food.  The spinach salad topped with lump crab meat is divine.  Fine seafood served here.  Live entertainment on certain nights.
  2. Suicide Bridge - Secretary, MD
    Located along the Choptank River in the heart of Maryland's Eastern Shore,  enjoy fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere with some of the best food in Maryland.  Seafood and beef are main attractions here.  Also take a cruise on a river boat and see some wild shoreline Dorchester County is famous for.
  3. Blue Point Provision - Hyatt Chesapeake Resort - Cambridge, MD
    Local Eastern Shore cuisine served up with Hyatt high-class style.  Renditions of Blue Crab, Rockfish, Soft Shell Crab, Blue Pointe Oysters, local produce and Eastern Shore desserts will delight your palate.  Reservations are highly recommended.
  4. Old Salty's - 2560 Hoopers Island Road, Hooper's Island, MD 410.397.3752
    Seafood restaurant serving one of the best crabcakes on the Eastern Shore.  Setting is the small waterman's village of Fishing Creek.  Views of the water, friendly service and excellent food make the 22 mile drive off Route 50 worth the trip.  Old Salty's is not just a restaurant.  It's one of the most unique Eastern Shore dining experiences offering the authentic culture of the local watermen.
  5. Clearview atHorn's Point - Cambridge, MD - Open weekends, Friday 11:00 am to close, Sat. and Sun open 9 am to close.  Golf course resort area with restaurant and bar.  Sunday Brunch is excellent
  6. Kay's at the Airport - Dorchester County Airport -  3463 Bucktown Road,  Cambridge, MD 410-901-8844 Closed Wednesdays. Excellent lunch, home-cooked, family style comfort food in open, airy, room with views of the landing strip and surrounding fields.  Easy parking, excellent service, home-made desserts.
  7. Canvasback Restaurant and Pub - 420 Race Street, Cambridge, MD 410.221.5177
    Eastern Shore cuisine, casual fine dining, fine wines, pub on site with live entertainment.

You definitely need to move Clearview at Horns Point up to #1 it is by far the best food and service in Dorchester County

I agree with the above posting. Clearview is remarkable and should definitely be ranked at the top of the list. The food, service and atmosphere are absolutely top notch.
