The Maryland Science Center

The Maryland Science Center is my favorite place in Baltimore.  I have been there with kids ages 4 to 40, and all have had a good time.

Start by exploring weather, climate, and the world.  Witness a miniature tornado or shape sand dunes by controlling the wind.  See if you can catch a blue crab on camera.  Then mosey on back to dig for dinosaurs, assemble a skeleton, learn from one ...

The National Aquarium - My Guide

You can certainly find more information and better reviews of the National Aquarium on their website (http://www.aqua.org/) or any number of Baltimore tourism pages, so what I have to offer here are my personal highlights and suggestions for maximizing your aquarium visit.

Baltimore - Towson Festival

This weekend is the annual Towsontown Spring Festival. Features include live music, arts and crafts, fire and army trucks for the kids to sit on, beer gardens for the adults, and so much more. This is definitly a family oriented festival as opposed to some of the more young adult oriented festivals held downtown. Plenty of food from the traditional Maryland crabcake sandwiches to fun fair food ...

Sitting Out

I think you have to be in America to sit at an outdoor table at a restaurant and stare at a parking lot and admire the view. It was a very nice parking lot, with lots of flowers in the medians and framed quite picturesquely by some chain restaurants and swiftly flowing streams of shiny vehicles, but ...
