The Kentucky Bourbon Trail Starts in Louisville



This past week The Courier-Journal described a new urban addition to Kentucky's bourbon trail. Basically we've got so many fine establishments serving a wide variety of the great bourbons produced here in the bluegrass that spending time in Louisville enjoying bourbon is a great alternative to only using Louisville as the "where I'm lying my head at night" home base.

Kentucky State Fair is on its way



August 16-26 at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center, the fair is back!

Worth a visit, definitely, with indoor (air-conditioned) exhibits, and more than its share of outdoor vendors, live music, interesting sideshows, and diversions, the fairgrounds are conveniently located near the airport--so even if you're only here for a short time, there's no reason not to hop over to the biggest deal all summer.

Kentucky Bluegrass Festival in Louisville



Visitors to Louisville during the first weekend of August are a lucky lot indeed because they'll be in our fair city during the Kentucky Bluegrass Festival. Two nights featuring the great live Bluegrass music of 12 bands performing downtown on the Belvedere on the banks of the Ohio River.
