The Louisville Zoo
What does a Komono Dragon, an Albino Alligator and a Tarantula have in common? They're all residents of The Louisville Zoo!
My wife and I recently visited our zoo for the first time, and what a nice surprise! There was a great assortment of animals from all over the globe, and the layout of the exhibits was very nice. There were several indoor pavillions showcasing different species, and even a special section for kids that included a splash park with an area for weary parents to sit and watch their young-ins wear themselves out! There was also a petting zoo for the kids, displaying some exotic animals.
The only thing I could have done without was the zookeeper who was letting people touch a big lizard...yuck! I'm generally not a wimp, but isn't that what the display cases are for!
And, for those who like excersice, a path through the zoo was made that measures exactly one mile...not a huge distance, but enough when your a pound or two overweight and it's 90 degrees!
All in all, a great experience, and highly recommended for the whole family! Click here for the Louisville Zoo home page.
