Dinner and a Movie

I love the movies. Action flicks, comedies, dramas, and yes...even the occasional "chick flick" when seen with my wife. The only thing I love as much as a good movie, is good food, and nothing goes together better than dinner and a movie. One Louisville cinema gives you both in one shot!

The Stonybrook Cinema DeLux on Hurstbourne (formerly the Showcase Cinemas), has one of this towns best kept secrets right inside: Chatters Bar and Grill. What is better than being able to have dinner, then only walk a few steps to your theater? Nothing! And Chatters has it all: tasty appetizers, great bar food, such as burgers, and a new menu that serves restaurant food like steaks and pastas. I am especially fond of their burgers. Big and juicy.

And the best part: the prices are reasonable! They are right on par, and in some cases less, than similar restaurants around town! And currently, on Tuesdays, much of the menu is half price! What a bargain! You could go to a matinee, stop in Chatters for dinner, and be out of there for around $25 for the flick and the food for 2 people! They will also let you take your order inside the theater...so have a burger instead of popcorn!

I would be amiss if I did not mention the other plus as well: I love a good beer, and Chatters has a good selection there. However, as my wife will atest to, they have martinis that are to die for! She loves the pineapple martini with the chocolate covered pineapple wedge.

The Cinema DeLux is located at 2745 Hurstbourne Parkway, only a few minutes from 64. It's a 5 minute drive from most of the hotels on Hurstbourne, and is only 10 minutes from downtown. The Showcase Cinema in Okalona also has a Chatters inside.
