#2: Dunkin’ Donuts ® has been an Institution since 1950 now, weathering the Ups & Downs of Big Business as well as Droughts and Floods. As America emerged from World War II, the Climate changed radically and a Revolution in Business was ‘percolating.’ Bill Rosenberg pioneered this Effort for he was responsible for opening the First Dunkin' Donuts Shop in Quincy, Massachusetts! Realizing that Franchising is the Epitome of Free Enterprise, Mr. Rosenberg mobilized Franchising into what it is Today beginning in 1955. His Name is synonymous as being “The Father of The Franchise.”
In 1960 (even before The Beatles & The Rolling Stones splashed on to U.S. Shores), Mr. Rosenberg founded The International Franchise Association (IFA). Today, the IFA encompasses more than 800 Franchisors and over 30,000 Franchisee Members. What’s cool about this is that because of his ground-breaking Efforts, Scores of Americans3 are now employed, in an ‘iffy’ and precarious Climate where many Jobs have been outsourced or downsized. The ‘Small Print’ explained why The Celebration was occurring. It stated: “Thanks to customers like you, Brand Keys, a leading Authority on Customer Loyalty, named Dunkin’ Donuts the #1 Brand for Customer Loyalty in the Coffee + Donuts Category in the Country.” And, that’s no ‘Small (Coffee) Beans’ about Statistics like that. Congratulations are indeed the Order of the Day here.
