Well, it's not a very big attraction, but there is a really neat statue of the goddess Kapo in Kapolei.

On my way to a Korean restaurant I was going to review, I found Kazoku, a Japanese sushi train restaurant (and I love the sushi train concept). It was a nice surprise to find one right in the heart of Kapolei.

A land developer contracted by the University of Hawaii has purchased a 298 acre site in Kapolei. 100 acres is reserved for a campus, and the remaining space will be used for commercial and residential projects to create a little college town.

Even with throngs of tourists, Oahu has plenty of secluded beaches, each with a different character. Near Ewa is Onelua Beach Park. It's a long thin strip of sand punctuated with worn-down lava rock formations. Onelua has a great view of Honolulu and Diamondhead in the distance.

Onelua is not the best for swimming, there are no life guards, but it is suitable for ocean ...
