Looking for a nice place the whole family can enjoy, especially the kiddie's? Discover the Hawaii Children's Discovery Center. In this interactive setting kids can really explore and learn. Don't touch is not the rule in this museum, in fact using all the senses is encouraged. The center has galleries filled with hands-on exhibts where they can learn about themselves and the world around them.

Located less than 5 minutes away from Waikiki, this area is easily accessible by the trolleys, local buses and taxis.
Although the shopping ...

Oahu has several beaches.
All beautiful, all natural and all amazingly peaceful. However, my favorite beach is Mokapuu Beach. Its a hidden gem. Away from the usual tourist crowds and from the high school patrons, Mokapuu is excellent for some soul searching and personal time.
Located on the Southeast Coast , it is about 5 minutes pass Sandy Beach and about 2 miles away from the ...

If you're like me, you love to walk and hike. There is no where better to do it than Hawaii and on Oahu one of my favorite hikes is the Makapu'u Lighthouse. Downtown Chinatown boasts a variety of eateries. Popular places such as Little Village and Mini Garden provide a wide variety of Asian choices specifically altered to match the Caucasian taste buds. Pricey and often times overcrowded, The Green Door Café proves to be an excellent alternative.
The Green Door Café is located between Maunakea and Pauahi Street. It is towards the end of ...

Best cup of coffee in town? Starbucks? Nope. It's brewed at the Gift & Gourmet shop on Merchant Street - 212 Merchant Street to be exact, in the hallway next to the Subway. This is a very quaint little gift shop full of interesting treasures but they specialize in gourmet coffee, teas, and chocolates and is owned and operated by Celia Kim.
I first heard of this little gem ...
