Get Your Soul Food Fix
Do you have a craving for some good down home southern cooking? Southern cooking in Hawaii you ask? Yes, you can satisfy your soul food craving at Deb’s Ribs and Soul Food located in Kailua. The entrees include friend chicken, BBQ chicken, smothered chicken, and my favorite, catfish . They have lots of side dishes including, black eyed peas, collard greens, cole slaw, corned bread, macaroni and cheese , hush puppies and many others.
I had some big pieces of catfish which was good. I found the macaroni and cheese had a little too many things added for my liking (peppers) but it was still good. Unfortunately, my budget didn’t allow for desert which includes cakes, pie and cobbles, maybe next time. Prices start at $6.99 for an entrée and a side. I’ll definitely go back when my soul food cravings acts up again.
