Downtown Honolulu's First Friday
Every first Friday of the Month Downtown Honolulu really comes alive. The galleries open up. The shops stay open late, and everyone from college students to business types stay out a little past pau hana. The wide varieties of art can satisfy every creative mind from performance pieces, sculpture, and music. There is a friendly atmosphere, because everyone is wandering around from place to place with no real destination or purpose in mind. First Friday is a place that you can also enjoy the artsy environment alone, because there are so much people that no one really notices. The cab fare from Waikiki wouldn't be more than $10 and there are buses that stop right in the middle of Downtown. There are no excuses to miss this once a month affair.
