Aloha Flea Market The Place to go for Souvenirs
A trip to Hawaii is not complete unless you bring back an extra suitcase packed with interesting souvenirs. If you're looking for great and inexpensive souvenirs to take home from your trip to Oahu make sure you make a stop at Aloha Flea Market. If you love to hunt for bargains don't pass up the largest flea market on Oahu. This flea market has it all, food, crafts, clothes, jewelry, Hawaiiana, cheap t-shirts, the list goes on, and all cheaper than any store in Waikiki. I especially love tasting the free samples of all kinds of jellies and sauces that you'll find at several booths.
The flea market is located in the Aloha Stadium parking lot and it's big so be prepared to do a lot of walking. It's outdoors so slather on some sunscreen and bring a hat. Admission is $1 per person, kids 12 and under are free. The flea market is open three days a week, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 6am-3pm. Get there early so you'll have plenty of time to check out all the booths.
If you have your own transportation, here are the directions to get there. From East Oahu, Waikiki & Honolulu take the H-1 freeway West, Stadium exit 1E . From West Oahu, take the H-1 freeway East exit 13B Stadium exit. There's plenty of parking.
You can also take The Bus for $2. It's a 30 minute ride from Waikiki. Take #20 (Airport/Pearlridge) or #47 (Waipahu). To return, take #20 or #47 (Waikiki Beach and Hotels).
