The Loop

Today is a nice, warm day. If you're like me, it's a perfect day for shopping and looking for some unique furniture finds. I meandered through the winding streets, looking at the chic boutiques and passing them by. They were pretty, but they didn't reflect my personal style. Just then, I saw a neon sign that read The Loop, Pizza Grill. Suddenly I had ...

Shop in Atlanta... And while you're at it, why not grab a bite to eat?

Atlanta has a vibrant shopping scene, from the most common retailers like WalMart to specialty shops, to high end retail like Dillards. For an eclectic array of retailers, I would first recommend that one should check out the Camp Creek Market Place.
Taking 285 west bound past the airport to exit 2 will take you to this This gigantic shopping complex boasts a Target, an Old Navy, a Pier ...

Titanic Artifact Exhibition Wows Atlanta

titanic1.jpeg

This past weekend I had the chance to attend the Titanic Artifact Exhibition at the Atlanta Civic Center. Though at first it seemed a bit pricey at $20 per person, by the end of the tour it was worth every dime I spent.

The RMS Titanic set sail on its maiden voyage from Southampton, England, on ...

Spend a day in the clouds

Cloudland Canyon State Park is one of Georgia's best-kept secrets.

Covering 2,300 acres of land, Cloudland Canyon is part of the Lookout Mountain terrain. About an hour and a half drive up I-75 from the city of Atlanta, the canyon sits just outside Lafayette, Georgia. (Include driving directions?)

The canyon itself resembles a miniature "Grand Canyon" only with granite instead of silt rock. Still, the view is colorful and inspiring as one ...

Atlanta is enjoying its largest tourism boom since the '96 Olympics, thanks in part to the opening of the Georgia Aquarium.

With 8 million gallons of fresh water and marine water, the aquarium is home to more than 100,000 animals representing 500 species from around the world. It is an absolute "must see" when planning your trip to Atlanta!

Hartsfield-Jackson Int. is the World's Busiest Airport

 airport

Hartsfield-Jackson International airport proved to be the nation's busiest airport for the second year in a row with 976,307 flights logged in 2006. Airport employees contribute the title to the airport’s capacity and efficiency.  For the most part my experiences with the airport have been pleasant. There was one unlucky day about three years ago before I had moved here when I visited on business. ...

Her Majesty, The Fox Theatre

Fox Marquee

The Fox Theatre, a national historic landmark, stands as a stirring and regal tribue to Atlanta's changing times.

Built in the 1920's, her original purpose was to be headquarters for the 5,000 member Shriners. When money to complete the project became an issue, the Shriners made a deal with movie mogul William Fox.

Adding his own modifications to include a movie theater, Fox assisted the ...

El Myr in Little Five Points

To really visit a city, you go where the locals go. The service may not be as prompt and the décor might be shabbier than most of your fine dining establishments, but frequenters guarantee their music selection in the juke box and you’ll get a taste of what at least some of the dwellers are like, and maybe leave knowing why they keep going there.
Nestled in Atlanta’s Little Five Points ...
