A Berry Good Time
If you missed the Florida State Fair last month, and you still haven't made your way to Plant City, there's still time to catch the Florida Strawberry Festival. Aside from endless treats involving the fruit that gives the event its name, there are exhibits, rides, games and music acts.
This weekend (the last weekend of the festival) includes acts such as Big & Rich, Hootie & The Blowfish and Montgomery Gentry. Tickets for each act vary from as little as $10 to as much as $25. However, stadium seats are free for acts scheduled at 4 p.m., which include John Anderson, Bellamy Brothers and Josh Turner. Concert tickets do not include the price of admission, which is $9 for adults and $5 for children.
The Florida Strawberry Festival is located at 2202 W. Reynolds St. It runs through March 11 and is open daily from 10 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. For more information, call (813) 752-9194 or visit www.flstrawberryfestival.com.
