Seasons 52 is a new concept in Orlando that offers a variety of menus items. Their menus changes with the seasons and offers specials every week depending on what type of produce the chef selects. The really cool thing about this restaurant is that all their menu items are under 500 calories, this includes, appetizers, entrees, and even desserts. They offer what's called minis, which are small desserts, inexpensive, and delicious.

There is a Seasons 52 in Altamonte Springs and one on Sand Lake drive near Disney. You can make reservations online at http://www.opentable.com You should expect to spend at least $50 for two people for dinner but the quality of food is well worth it.

Make sure you check out the various Orlando Ale Houses' around town. This is a great place that you can relax and have a good beer. The staff there go out of their way to ensure that you have a good time. A little known secret is the Chicken Nachos, make sure you order them layered. The nachos are an appetizer but can feed 5-6 people easily. It makes a great deal to feed a family of to have a few beers over. The nachos come with large pieces of chicken, cheese and mounds of chips. When you get them layer, they put more chicken and cheese on the nachos. On the side there is lettuce, tomatos, sour cream. Enjoy

Universal Studios has shut down the Back to the Future ride and while many fans will miss it, there are always new rides waiting to be discovered. People love new, bigger, better and more thrilling rides and theme parks try to make them to keep their visitors from going to another park for their needs. This summer a few parks are coming out with some new rides for visitors big and small.

Wet ‘n Wild in Orlando is coming out with one of the best rides so far for this summer. The ride called "the brainwash" will have two or four person rafts and riders will be taken up six stories only to be dropped more than 50 drop into a long tunnel that is over 60 feet long. When riders reach the funnel they will spin out of control before splashing out of this ride.

At Universal Studios the Blue Man group will move to Orlando where they will begin performing on June 7, 2007. The group is here to stay for a long while, just like Las Vegas acts.

On May 25 astronauts will no longer be the only ones to experience a shuttle launch. At the Kennedy Space Center there will be a new attraction called The Shuttle Launch Experience at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex which will give a realistic simulation of a shuttle launch and views of Earth that only a lucky few have been able to see from space.

Other attractions to check for new entertainment this summer includes Gatorland, Cypress Gardens, Sea World and Disney's Magic Kingdom.

What’s better than an afternoon walk around Downtown Orlando’s Lake Eola? Add some great local foods and you’ve got a typical Sunday in Downtown Orlando.
The Eola Sunday Market offers a taste of small town hospitality with a dash of urban zest. Where else can you taste gourmet soup and fresh squeezed orange juice at the same place? Not only are the foods unique to the market and sometimes only found at the market, but, the prices aren’t too bad either. The market, which is located on Central Blvd not only sells food but, homemade art and crafts as well.

If you are looking for a free afternoon attraction that gives you the urban hometown feel, The Eola market is right up your alley.

Cypress Gardens stands out from other theme parks because it features some of the most beautiful plants, tree and flowers in the world.

Cypress Gardens has an area that is called Snively Plantation and it where you will find the four different gardens of Cypress. The four gardens include a butterfly garden which features all the beautiful flowers and plants that attract butterflies, vegetable, herb and rose gardens. Once you get inside there are gorgeous water fountains surrounding by green shrubs and a break taking waterfall that provides a memorable backdrop to compliment all of the surrounding green areas.

Epcot is just one of four of Walt Disney World's theme parks. There are two main areas of Epcot- Future World and The World Showcase. Future World contains the majority of the park's rides. This includes the new Finding Nemo ride at the Living Seas, Journey Into Imagination, and Universe of Energy- rides which everyone can enjoy. Mission Space, Test Track, and Soarin' over California are also featured in Future World but these rides do have height requirements. (And also longer wait times.)

The World Showcase is the second area of the part and features countries of the world. In each 'country' there is a counter service restaurant location, a table service restaurant, shops, and entertainment. In my opinion, this is the best part of Epcot. I love walking around the countries and looking through the stores. The food is also delicious, with each country serving their own delicacies. Currently the countries featured are Mexico, Norway, China, African Outpost, Germany, Italy, America, Japan, Morroco, France, UK, and Canada.

*Tips for Visiting Epcot*

If you would like to go on the rides in Future World, plan accordingly. Future World is typically only open til 7 pm while the World Showcase area usually stays open til 9. Some of the more popular rides, like Test Track and Soarin', will still be open til 9 though.

Use the Fast Pass System for Soarin'. Walt Disney World offers a Fast Past for certain rides. You go to the ride you want to ride, insert your park ticket in a fast pass machine. The machine will give you back your park ticket and an additional fast pass ticket. The fast pass ticket will give you an hour window in which to come back to the ride and enter through the 'fast pass' entrance. The fast pass line generally skips most of the regular line so your wait time will be greatly reduced.

One popular activity at Epcot is 'Drinking Around the World.' Each country has their own special alcohol drinks and many people try to 'drink around the world.' If you are so bold and inclined to do this, here is some advice- Bring cash and be prepared to spend a lot of money. A lot of the alcohol stands in front of the countries only take cash and drinks are at last 6-7 dollars a piece. With 11- 12 drinks, that's quite a bit. Also be prepared to take your time, otherwise you will get sick.

Massimo Trattoria is a fairly new welcome addition to the dining options in East Orlando. The owner and Head Chef Massimo is an Italian native and it shows in his cooking.

Being Italian myself, and growing with real Italian cooking since my grandmother is first generation here in the US as a small child I knew what it meant to have freshly made Italian Dishes. Whether it was Spaghetti and Meatballs, Chicken Parmigiana or Lasagna, for Sunday Dinners we all knew it would be great. Being Italian - love is shown through food, cooking, serving and of course eating! I have fond memories of sharing many happy meals with my extended family. Going to Massimo's many of those feelings return. Everyone is very friendly, the layout of the trattoria allows patrons to see their food being made in the kitchen by Massimo and lends itself to a really personal dining experience.

Taste wise everything on the menu we have tried is delicious. My favorite dish is the Melanzane alla Parmigiana (Eggplant Parm), he makes it a little different than most places. Massimo includes a little Ricotta between the eggplant!! Mmmm just delicious!

I could speak about many of the dishes as I always try to have something new, but the bottom line is you will not be disappointed. A word on desert - yummy! The Cannolis are fantastic, very traditional. They are not the americanized version which is super sweet, if you try it expecting to try something different you will love it! The Cannolis remind me of the ones my grandmother makes!

Now that you are famished, give Massimo's a try! Them Julianne sent you!

Massimo Trattoria is located in the Alafaya Village, across from Stoneybrook. The address is 2822 South Alafaya Trail, Suite 195. It is tucked in the shopping center on the right toward the back. The website is www.massimotrattoria.com Buon Appetito!

Have you ever wanted to learn to surf? Did you know you can bring up to twelve people to a surfing lesson at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon? Before the park opens, you and eleven of your closest friends will receive a professional lesson as well as numerous waves to catch in the wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon. The park will open early for you, while you surf for three hours.

Are you a certified SCUBA diver? Epcot boasts one of the world's largest aquariums, at 5.7 million gallons of water and hundreds of thousands of different types of fish. The aquarium is so big, the Epcot sphere could fit comfortably inside. Epcot offers a program called "Divequest Epcot." In this, you will dive for 30 minutes inside the aquarium. You are on your own, no tour guide involved! You can see more fish in one place than you may have ever seen on a previous dive, and you become part of the attraction. As you swim through, you are on display to the millions of visitors that surge through Epcot.

Did you ever wonder what hides behind the doors marked "Cast Members Only Please"? You can take a tour, called The Keys to the Kingdom and find out! This half day tour includes a behind the scenes look at the Magic Kingdom, including entry to some of the Cast Members Only areas and a glimpse into some of the most popular rides at the park. The tour includes quite a bit of walking, so wear comfy shoes. You will also be given lunch upon completion.
