Massimo Trattoria Brings A Taste of Italy to East Orlando

massimo.jpg

Massimo Trattoria is a fairly new welcome addition to the dining options in East Orlando.  The owner and Head Chef Massimo is an Italian native and it shows in his cooking.

Being Italian myself, and growing with real Italian cooking since my grandmother is first generation here in the US as a small child I knew what it meant to have freshly made Italian Dishes.  Whether it was Spaghetti and Meatballs, Chicken Parmigiana or Lasagna, for Sunday Dinners we all knew it would be great.  Being Italian - love is shown through food, cooking, serving and of course eating!  I have fond memories of sharing many happy meals with my extended family.  Going to Massimo's many of those feelings return.  Everyone is very friendly, the layout of the trattoria allows patrons to see their food being made in the kitchen by Massimo and lends itself to a really personal dining experience.

Taste wise everything on the menu we have tried is delicious.  My favorite dish is the Melanzane alla Parmigiana (Eggplant Parm), he makes it a little different than most places.  Massimo includes a little Ricotta between the eggplant!! Mmmm just delicious!

I could speak about many of the dishes as I always try to have something new, but the bottom line is you will not be disappointed.   A word on desert - yummy!  The Cannolis are fantastic, very traditional.  They are not the americanized version which is super sweet, if you try it expecting to try something different you will love it!  The Cannolis remind me of the ones my grandmother makes!

Now that you are famished, give Massimo's a try!  Them Julianne sent you!

Massimo Trattoria is located in the Alafaya Village, across from Stoneybrook.  The address is 2822 South Alafaya Trail, Suite 195.  It is tucked in the shopping center on the right toward the back.  The website is www.massimotrattoria.com  Buon Appetito!
