Giddyup, y'all!

Just 12 miles south of Highway 192 on Poinciana Boulevard lies a peaceful farm filled with horses. Though the farm sits just off busy Poinciana Blvd., once you saddle up on your horse and begin to ride through hundreds of acres of untouched beauty, you'll forget about traveling by car at all.

The farm boasts several dozen horses, each of which are well suited for any level of rider. If you've never even seen a horse before, they've got a horse that is perfect for you. If you rode in the Kentucky derby last year, you'll find a horse there for you too. There are several different trails, depending on your skill level. You can also choose how long you feel comfortable being on a horse. They have a beginner's trail ride that lasts 45 to 50 minutes, an intermediate ride that lasts approximately an hour, and an advanced ride, lasting 1 1/2 hours.

The staff at Horse World is also very flexible in planning. If you have a large group, they are more than happy to accomodate you with a private trail ride. If you are a small family, and you don't want to share your guide, call the staff, you will be happy with the results. Prices start at $39.00 and go up from there, depending on how long the ride and how private.

The money is well worth it, once you're riding with a blue sky above you, the Florida sand beneath you, green trees reaching up next to you and only the sound of your horses and your own heartbeat. Turn the cell phone off, leave the chaos of the theme parks, and experience Florida's natural and soothing side.

For reservations (highly recommended), contact Horse World at (407)847-4343. Horse World is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
