Buca Di Beppo...That's Amore!

Every time I hear that Dean Martin classic I can only think of one thing; Italian food!
And when I think of Italian food there's only one place that in my mind can satisfy that craving Buca Di Beppo. This isn't your average Italian joint. This nationwide chain, which boasts 95 locations nationwide, features restaurants that are less dining and more experience.
The first time I visited one several years ago I was quickly taken on a tour of the caverns and rooms that make up the restaurant. The tour was topped off by a run through the kitchen complete with friendly greetings from the kitchen staff, oh and the patrons who were seated at the table that inhabits one side.
There are various themed rooms located throughout the caverns, my favorite in the ‘pope' room that includes a likeness of his holiness in the center of the table. The walls are decorated with items you might find in the drawers at an Italian grandmothers house. Old pictures, posters and postcards adorn the walls and the ceilings.
If you go expecting a quiet intimate time, well you might just try elsewhere. Here the conversations and the laughter are loud and it's a great place for a large group or family.
But Buca doesn't simply rest on its ambiance. The food served here is terrific and in portions so generous that even I always bring home leftovers, and for those who know me that's saying a lot!
The authentic dishes lean towards Italian village style and the classic Italian fare and each restaurant has its own specials.
Orlando has two Buca Di Beppo locations, by the Florida Mall and in Maitland. Do yourself a favor and drop by, Bells will ring ting-a-ling-a-ling, ting-a-ling-a-ling...And you'll sing "Vita Bella"!
