A bit of the Arabian in Orlando!
Located along the popular tourist area of Highway 192, just off I-4, is Arabian Nights. This arena-sized restaurant is a hub of activity, including two nightly horse stunt shows, fun food and belly dancing. Appropriate for children of all ages, Arabian Nights offers a different type of entertainment than you typically find at Disney and Universal Studios. Yes, you'll be packed in close quarters with hundreds of others, but the moment the show begins, you'll be lost in a tale about the marriage of a prince and princess, all completely told on horseback.
Breathtaking stunts, humorous banter, enjoyable music all add up to a fun and entertaining night away from the theme parks.
If you have children that are enthralled by horses, you can purchase a VIP pass and enter the arena early. This gives you and your party the opportunity to meet the stars of the show as well as petting and taking pictures with the horses.
The food is not gourmet quality, but it is good. You do not get many choices on the menu, but by the time the show starts, you've forgotten you've gone there to eat. You will get salad, and your choice of New York Strip Steak, Grilled Chicken Breast, Chicken Tenders, Black Angus Chopped Steak with gravy, or Vegatable Lasagne. You will also receive a piece of wedding cake for dessert... if the wedding is allowed to go on! During dinner, enjoy unlimited Pepsi products, wine and beer.
Arabian Nights also boasts a full bar, which you can frequent while waiting for the doors to open. On the bar, you will be amazed by the talented belly dancers. You can also browse the gift shop while you wait, though prices tend to be a bit steep.
Reservations are not typically required, but are recommended during the busy tourist seasons of June through August and around the December holidays. Also, if you book online, you can enjoy $10 off the price of admission per person.
General admission is $45.90 for adults and $20.33 for children. For VIP admission, which includes a souvenir poster, a free drink of Budweiser, a blush wine or Coca Cola product in the VIP lounge, priority seating in the first three rows, and the opportunity to meet the horses and stars prior to general seating, the cost is $56.60 for adults and $31.03 for children. Prices do not include gratuity.
