I'm in Orlando, where do I eat?
One of my favorite restaurants in Orlando is right in the heart of the tourist district, along International Drive. Bergamo's is a cozy Italian restaurant that packs a big surprise!
Along with the excellent cuisine you'll eat, your server is secretly harboring a Broadway-worthy, powerful voice. Every evening beginning at 7 p.m., these servers will entertain you along with bringing your food. Once the show starts, you can look forward to being entertained for approximately a half hour. The servers and pianist then take a half hour break before starting all over again. The servers do take requests and make every effort to honor any requests that have been made. Just make sure you request a Broadway or opera song!
Dinner is a relaxed affair, and you will never feel any pressure to get out of your table. In fact, every time I've been there, I've been told to sit as long as I'd like and enjoy the music.
Bergamo's does serve Italian cuisine with an Americanized flair. Each meal is prepared with care and love and is absolutely delicious. There is also a fully stocked bar with a large wine list and talented bartenders who will cater to any drink request. The restaurant is also children friendly, with a children's menu.
If you would like to try Bergamo's, it is currently located on International Drive at the Mercado, behind Titanic. You will have to drive around the back side of the Mercado to find it, but it's worth the trip. If you are planning a Friday or Saturday evening meal, reservations are recommended.
