Zeke's - Miami Beach on the Cheap
This past weekend I was in Miami Beach strolling down Lincoln Road when I came accross a place I hadn't been to in a while - Zeke's. Most people don't know about Zeke's Roadhouse. It's a tiny little hole-in-the-wall with a little black and white sign marking it's entrance. It certainly looks out of place among the glitz and glamor of South Beach. But, if you like beer and you don't want to spend a fortune - Zeke's is for you.
With 80 different varieties of brew, at only $3 each, Zeke's draws a rather bohemian crowd of travelers, artists, and mostly locals. The best part about Zeke's is that you never have to drink the same beer twice, and the friendly bartenders are more than happy to help you pick something out. And, did I mention the beers are $3 each! That is unheard of in the trendy SoBe.
You can sit inside at Zeke's, but most of the patrons opt to soak up the atmosphere and people watch from one of the outside tables. There's plenty space accross the sidewalk if you can't find a table right by the door - and you might catch some interesting conversations on politics or philosophy if you choose to sit at the bar. It's a cozy little haven if you get sick of the beautiful people scene.
Zeke's is at 625 Lincoln Road - Phone 305-532-0087.
