Best Hotel Bargain



Denver’s free alternative weekly newspaper Westword has released its Best Of Denver selections for 2007. One of this year’s categories was most appropriately “Best Hotel Bargain”.

Snowshoeing in Colorado at the Ritz


Do it! Okay, let me backtrack a little. I have never tried snowshoeing prior to this weekend. On Sunday I found myself at the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch. Amazing hotel with a ski lift in your backyard and trails galore. So, I head to the pro shop, and $15 later am strapping some funky contraptions to my feet.

Off we go!

The Oxford: A Denver Historic Hotel


With family in town this week, it's been a great opportunity to check out their digs downtown at The Oxford Hotel.  It has the feel of an old hotel that you're more likely to find in Chicago or Boston, rather than Denver.
