Lift Ticket Crackdown


Skiers and snowboarders alike: take caution!

Due to the fact that Spring Break is around the corner/upon us, Breckenridge Ski Resort, among others, is cracking down on stolen and borrowed lift passes.

Essentially, don't "loan" your tickets to your friends, and don't "lift" them (like the pun?) if you find one laying around.

Fun fact: according to the resort, 40% of all pulled passes happen in March.

Where to go for St. Patrick's in Denver


3 suggestions: The Celtic, Irish Snug, LoDo's

The Celtic: great atmosphere, but downtown parking is as much fun as cafeteria leftovers. It has a very "pub" feel to it. I have expect to step outside and see a castle on a picturesque mountainside. There's also a divine cherry and whipped cream dessert there. Is that traditional Irish faire? Who cares, it's really really good. PS to my fellow singles: on Tuesdays ...

One of the many wonderfully unique attributes of Denver and Colorado as a whole is our collective love of animals.  People love their dogs, their cats, their horses, you name it.  It's a state for animal lovers, and it's easily one of the more dog-friendly urban areas in the country.

Snowshoeing in Colorado at the Ritz


Do it! Okay, let me backtrack a little. I have never tried snowshoeing prior to this weekend. On Sunday I found myself at the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch. Amazing hotel with a ski lift in your backyard and trails galore. So, I head to the pro shop, and $15 later am strapping some funky contraptions to my feet.

Off we go!

I was under the impression snowshoeing was "just hiking in the snow." ...
