Did Someone Say Pajama Party? Don't worry, Denver, it's for a good cause...
One of the many things that make Denver a unique place is its civic and community involvement. Nearly everywhere you look, from the arts to politics to environmental causes to basic city improvements, people in Denver don't just talk, they act. So it should be as no surprise that one of the premiere upcoming philanthropic events--aimed at raising money for Denver's ten year campaign to end homelessness--will feature our beloved mayor and other VIPs in their PJs. Feel free to point and laugh.
On Thursday, February 1st, the Residence Inn Denver City Center, located at 1725 Champa Street, right downtown, will host the second annual Mayor's PJ Party from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 pm. The party is now an annual event to raise money for Denver's Road Home--a collaborative effort between the city and Mile High United Way to end chronic homelessness within a decade. The initiative has become a benchmark for other cities in terms of addressing what is a very serious issue.
So if you're planning to be in the area on February 1st, definitely check out this pajama-jammy-jam, and do a little good while you're at it. There will be prizes, entertainment, and, wait for it....valet parking. Sign up and get tickets here.
