Someplace Quiet(er)

Ten minutes outside of downtown Denver there is a little place called Zodiac. It rides the line between a large bar and a small night club, and is a pleasant place to spend an evening in Denver. There are poker tournaments six nights per week. There are around twenty pool tables and a variety of other games to keep the competitive personalities happy.

A year ago the bar/club was revamped with a new image, but the interior still bears a lot of the old fixtures. The former “Pinkes” still has pink tables, restrooms, and light fixtures. This doesn’t distract much from the reasonable drinks (not the stiffest in town, but not the weakest either), and record breaking customer service.

There is a small cafe serving a variety of muchchies, but I don’t recommend counting on them for your dinner. Think of the café as a source of reliable back-up beer sponges! You may not be able to eat off the floor in the bar area, but at least you can count on some decent snacks!

Wednesday through Saturday, come with your dancing shoes on! The midsized dance floor lights up on those dance and pulse to the tunes of the 5-13 band or DJ Oldschool. The dance floor is separate from the gaming areas, so there no need to worry about tripping over wayward pool sharks while you are getting your groove on.

For a unique time, Zodiac will keep you entertained. It is a dance club for people who prefer dive-bars, and a pool hall for folks who like music. Stop in at 6080 West 92nd Avenue in Westminster to experience a quieter nightlife and a great place to pass the time!
