Mahliss's Biography

A Bay Area native who loves San Francisco, I recently relocated from LA/Orange County and am SO happy to be home. As I explore the city and everything it has to offer, from hip hotels, to swanky restaurants, to fun, dive bars, to beautiful art galleries, I’ll be sharing every experience I have right here on HBC.

Having worked in the hotel and restaurant industry for nearly ten years (my first job was as a house girl when I was 16 at a B&B in the Napa Valley), I love discovering great boutique hotels and fabulous restaurants. I’m a tough critic and have high expectations, but I’m fair. No stone goes unturned.
