Closing Night Party for the San Francisco Women's Film Fest
I don't know about you dudes, but I would have to say that Wayne's World is the greatest movie of all time and has pretty much shaped me into the person I am today. With that said, the 2007 San Francisco Women’s Film Festival concludes April 15th with a closing night party, co-presented by Bust Magazine and Film Arts Foundation!

Starting at 7pm at 111 Minna Gallery, the party will feature performances by Fat Chance Belly Dance, animated shorts, live music from all-female punk rock bands, Chix-Pack and The Departed, and director Penelope Spheeris with a screening of her 80s punk classic Suburbia.
SFWFF 2007 pays tribute to Spheeris’ achievements in films, which range from mainstream comedies, independent features and cutting edge documentaries.
Penelope Spheeris has directed over 20 films, including Wayne’s World, The Crooked E: The Unshredded Truth About Enron, and the critically acclaimed documentaries, The Decline of Western Civilization, The Decline II: The Metal Years, as well as The Decline Part III, a film she financed herself, with profits donated to charities for homeless and abused children. Spheeris is currently at work on a Janis Joplin biopic.
