“Sharing a healing mineral hot spring spa for two…. In our own private room….that’s what I call living”.
When the talk turned to, what to do next Jack was quick to point out that whatever it was, it had to be away from "Tourist Traps": That the Cruise had been enough for a while.
I knew just the place to spend a couple of days; if two days there didn't get him ready for people again, then nothing would. Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort is situated on 116 acres of near wilderness; although you can fly into an airport just eight miles away.
I told Julie she wouldn't need to cart the Lotus Blossoms along, that they provided along with a healing mineral water Spa; Yoga, Pilates, and Thai Classes: harmoniously connecting body and mind together.
With a quaint expression Julie asked: "What is Pilates, I've never heard the term?"
It's, " little known" I told her, "people in the Performing Arts and Dancers are quite familiar with the exercises".
Jack piped in, "Sharing a healing mineral hot spring spa for two.... In our own private room....that's what I call living".
We could not book a two Bedroom so we crowded into a Cottage - a secluded accommodation at the resort, nestled on a wooded hillside with a marble fireplace and mahogany wet bar.
The restaurants menu is all about health. Someone may confuse that to mean tasteless, but to the contrary, the food is absolutely one of the best things about Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort. The menu ranges from Quail with Polenta, to Black Pepper Crusted Loin of Venison; and everything in between. The food is most wine friendly and does not require a young robust; but supports a more complex fine wine.
The Dinner menus are comparable with some of the best anywhere; be sure and visit if you are in the area, if not, plan a trip, you won't be disappointed, promise.
As always; in pursuit of service and elegance.
